As a Certified International Systems Security Professional, I pledge to uphold professional principles in the fulfilment of my responsibilities. In promoting a high standard of ethical conduct, I shall:
  1. Endeavour to raise the competence and enhance the prestige of the information security profession;

  2. Personally pursue, and encourage others in continued professional development;

  3. Endeavour to avoid real or perceived conflicts of interest and to disclose to any client or employer any relationships that may influence my judgement;

  4. Fully respect the confidentiality of all client information at all times;

  5. Behave in a manner that would not prejudice the reputation of the certification body or the certification process;

  6. Not divulge any information that would compromise the integrity or reputation of the certification process;

  7. Conduct myself professionally, with honesty, accuracy, fairness and responsibility to my clients and colleagues;

  8. Be honest and realistic in reporting findings and recommendations based on available data;

  9. Not misrepresent my own or any other individual’s qualifications, competence, or experience, nor undertake any work as a certified information security professional beyond my qualifications; and

  10. To accept and offer constructive appraisal of all work, acknowledging errors and giving credit to the deserving.
